1930's Art Deco Portrait Frame
We spotted this tucked on a lower shelf, almost hidden between a stack of mismatched frames, and knew straight away it was something special. The stepped silhouette and weight of the oak gave it away instantly — a proper Art Deco picture frame, likely from the 1930s.
The craftsmanship is lovely: neat joinery, a plinth-like base, and oak that’s aged into a warm, honeyed tone. It has the feel of a miniature building, geometric and architectural, but softened by time.
Perfect for slipping in an old black-and-white portrait, a sepia photograph, or even something bold and modern to play off the Deco lines.
A small piece, but one that adds presence wherever it sits.
Condition: Excellent - some scratching to the back of the frame
Size: W 19.75 x D 1.25cm x H 19.25cm
