19th Century American Stool

It's difficult to improve on a piece of wood that's already spent a century proving it works.
 
Hand-hewn from solid timber with naturally curved legs and an old hand-forged repair across the seat, every split, knock and worn edge feels earned rather than accidental.
Originally made as a working milking stool, it now sits somewhere between furniture and sculpture. Exactly the sort of object that doesn't need polishing to justify its place.
