Hand-forged in southern Italy, this ragno di ferro — an iron spider — was likely made by a local blacksmith as a charm of protection and good luck. Each leg has been bent and shaped by hand, the body hammered and stippled for texture.
In rural homes, spiders were seen as keepers of the hearth — patient, watchful, and welcome. This one carries that same spirit in iron.
