Mid Century Italian Hexagonal Lidded Box

A lidded hexagonal ceramic box, hand-painted on all sides with stylised landscape scenes — cottages, trees, mountains and bridges. The vivid palette and thick outlines recall the look of cloisonné enamel, though this piece is fully ceramic.
 
Likely southern European in origin — possibly Italian — and dating to the mid–20th century (circa 1950s–70s). Made as a decorative object rather than for practical use, it has a bold, folk art quality that feels individual rather than mass-produced.
