Antique Turkish Terracotta Water Pot

An old Turkish terracotta water pot with two generous loop handles and a wonderfully battered dark green glaze around the neck and shoulders.

Likely dating from the early 20th century, the lower body has been left largely unglazed, with a loose band of pale slip separating the two surfaces. Drips, scratches and imperfections very much included.

Far too handsome to be carrying water anymore.
