Carved Ghana Adan Figure

Carved Ghana Adan Figure

£45.00Price

Rough-hewn and full of character, this carved wooden figure is from the Adan people of Ghana, known for their expressive and minimalist sculptural forms. Standing simply, with squared shoulders and angular limbs, it has a quiet confidence — somewhere between a protective figure and a folk art icon.

These figures were often made for spiritual or commemorative purposes, sometimes used in household shrines or kept as protective charms. But they also stand beautifully on their own, bridging the line between art and artifact.

The carving is bold and honest — no frills, just form — with subtle incised eyes and powerful stance. There's wear and patina that suggest real age and handling, which only adds to its charm.

Perfect as a sculptural accent or part of a collected shelf, this piece has presence far beyond its size — an object with soul.

Condition: Good - normal wear for age and use.  Character.

Size: W 5.5cm x D 3.5cm x H 15cm
