Early 20th C Afghan Ghazni Silver Bell Pendant
An early 20th-century Ghazni silver bell pendant from Afghanistan, made with the hand-cut dangles and soft, time-worn surfaces typical of Pashtun jewellery from that region. These pieces were often worn as protective amulets, their movement and sound layered with meaning as much as decoration.
We chose this one because it has that unmistakable Afghan craft language — honest metalwork, tactile detailing, and a sense of history that doesn’t need embellishment. It’s a small but characterful piece of adornment from a place where jewellery was made to be lived with, not just looked at, and it brings that same energy into a modern space or collection.
