Early 20th C American Shuttle Loom Candlesticks
Once part of an industrial loom, these long wooden shuttles were built to carry yarn across the warp threads of large textile machines. Each one still holds its original bobbin and internal hardware, with a maker’s mark and number stamped into the back — signs of early 20th-century mill production, most likely from one of the major U.S. makers such as Draper or Whitin.
Now adapted for use as candle holders or wall pieces, they keep that mix of precision and wear that tells of decades in motion — smooth to the touch, darkened through handling, and full of quiet mechanical character.
