A wonderfully unusual handmade copper wrist cuff, decorated with applied conical studs and a cast lion mask.
Formed from sheet copper, the interior retains its original coarse textile lining and simple hooked fastening. Its exact origin and purpose remain something of a mystery, with elements suggesting jewellery, costume and protective wear without sitting neatly within any one tradition.
