Early 20th C Indian Chased Brass Mirror
A small Indian wall mirror from the early 20th century, built from wood and completely wrapped in worked brass.
The front is already doing quite a lot, with chased floral and paisley borders surrounding an aged, nicely foxed mirror plate. But for reasons we very much approve of, they didn't stop there.
Turn it over and the entire back — the bit designed to face the wall — is covered with a flowering tree, elephants, birds and oversized paisleys. An unreasonable amount of decoration for something you're not actually supposed to see.
Condition: Excellent - normal patination for age
