Hand-Built Female Form Ceramic Vessel
A hand-built ceramic vessel exploring the female form, reduced rather efficiently to breasts, belly and neck.
The modelling is deliberately loose, with finger marks, uneven edges and small irregularities left visible in the clay. A dark, almost smoke-blackened surface shifts in places to reveal flashes of the warmer earthenware beneath, giving it an almost Raku-like effect.
We found her alongside a second, closely related vessel — clearly exploring the same idea, but individually modelled and with a rather different attitude.
