Hand Built Set of Espresso Cups and Saucers
A set of three espresso cups and saucers that feel more like small sculptures than tableware.
Hand-built in stoneware, each one has its own slight tilt and irregular line, brought together by that fractured surface pattern — a crackle-like glaze that reads almost like shards of glass or a mosaic.
The maker’s stamp is present on the base, though the identity is elusive — part of the intrigue with studio ceramics like these. Likely late 20th century, European in spirit, with a graphic energy that wouldn’t look out of place in a Memphis-era interior.
Functional, yes, but they carry the look of something made to be noticed.
