Hand Made Copper and Brass Box

A small handmade box in hammered copper, finished with a simple loose-fitting brass lid.

There’s nothing particularly complicated going on here — folded and soldered sheet copper, a roughly worked surface and a flat piece of brass sitting neatly on top. Even the inside has been left rather wonderfully unfinished.

But the proportions are just right, and the contrast between the warm, battered copper and that plain brass lid makes it far better than it probably has any business being.

Small, anonymous and fairly rudimentary. Also considerably nicer than the sum of those facts.
