A mid-century Bidriware box from India, made using the traditional silver inlay technique that gives these pieces their distinctive contrast. The form is simple and well balanced, and the silver patterning has that clean, confident handwork Bidri is known for.
 
We chose this one because it adds a different kind of craftsmanship to the mix — metalwork that’s decorative without feeling fussy, and a good example of how Indian artisans were adapting older techniques for modern tastes. It’s a small, characterful piece that slots naturally into a shelf.
