Mid Century Japanese Pattern Study
A study in repetition.
This Japanese workshop sheet brings together a series of geometric stripe variations, each exploring subtle changes in rhythm, width and spacing. Whether produced as a textile design reference or pattern study, it was clearly made as a working tool rather than a finished artwork.
The pencil marks, handling wear and traces of use remain. Framed between two panes of glass, both sides tell the story.
