Mid-Century Shona Graphite & Terracotta Bowl
£45.00Price
A small hand-built Shona pottery bowl from Zimbabwe, likely dating from the mid-20th century.
Made from warm red terracotta, with geometric panels around the shoulder burnished in graphite — a traditional decorative technique that gives them their wonderfully soft, almost metallic finish.
Low, round and pleasingly peculiar. Very good at doing absolutely nothing.
