Mid Century Studio Carved Face Sculpture
It’s basically a block of wood that’s had just enough done to it. A carved eye, a steady nose, a mouth that looks like it’s considering something but not in a rush to share it. The back tapers slightly, so it’s not quite a brick — someone clearly thought about it before putting the tools down.
The grain does most of the talking. A few natural splits, darkened edges from handling, and that solid, reassuring weight you only get from proper hardwood.
It’s not trying to be dramatic. It just sits there, slightly aloof, doing its thing.
Small sculpture. Big mood.
