North African Silver-Alloy Ritual Spoon
We were drawn to this the moment we spotted it. Handcrafted from silver alloy, its long handle and clustered granulation give it an almost architectural quality despite its modest size.
Likely originating from North Africa, spoons of this type are generally understood to have been made for ceremonial rather than everyday use, although their exact purpose varied between regions and communities.
Today, it's just as compelling as a sculptural object, with a beautifully aged patina that highlights every hand-worked detail.
