Romarin Grazebrook Miniature "Zodiac" Painted Mirrors
A series of miniature hand-painted mirrors by British outsider artist Romarin Grazebrook (1934–2024), each one capturing a playful take on the zodiac. Whether it’s Thomas the Twins, Simon the Fishes, or a bold, horned Scorpio, these pieces blend astrological symbols with stylised portraits and expressive brushwork. Each is framed by a hand-painted border, giving them the feel of little shrines or tokens—intimate, personal, and totally unique.
Grazebrook worked largely outside the formal art world, producing hundreds of mirror and glass paintings that were only uncovered after her death. Her work is now being recognised for its raw emotional depth and disarming honesty. These smaller pieces show her humour and inventiveness in full force.
