South African Lidded Coil Basket
A tightly woven lidded basket in the coiled tradition, most commonly associated with Southern Africa.
Built with a domed lid and small knop handle, the pattern moves in a steady rhythm of dark and natural tones, forming soft diamond shapes as the body widens and narrows again. It’s neatly done — consistent, controlled, and clearly made by a practiced hand.
Works just as well closed as it does open. Useful if you want it to be, but just as strong left on its own for the shape and pattern.
