Studio Art Glass Sculpture by Bob Crooks
One of Britain's most highly regarded glassmakers Bob has become renowned for the high quality innovative and dynamic forms that he has been producing over the last few decades. He moved to Devon in 2002 where he converted farm buildings into a state of the art workshop.
Within the range of production work made, Bob has consciously developed work that is, because of the nature of different applications, a 'one-off', it is not possible to make two pieces identical.
From conception to finished object he is totally involved - each piece is designed, handmade, finished and signed by Bob Crooks.
This limited edition run of 50, was for the 50th Anniversary of the Contemporary Applied Arts centre in London. The first 50 guests were gifted one of these pieces. Bob was later a solo exhibitor in 2003. Now celebrating over 75 years, the CAA is still focused on the artistry and promotion of British designers.
