Vintage Ashanti Kuduo Vessel
An Ashanti kuduo is a brass or bronze vessel used by the Ashanti people of Ghana to store valuable items, such as gold dust, ritual objects, and other personal possessions.
The vessels were also used in ceremonies to honor and protect the owner's life force, or kra. When the owner died, their kuduo was filled with gold and other offerings and placed in their burial site.
The detail and the work put into this piece is staggering. You see a different scene from every angle. A truly special piece to own.
