A hand-built earthenware jug with dark painted bands of triangles and cross-hatch, made from pale clay and fired low. The decoration is loose and instinctive — done fast, by someone who’s done it a hundred times before.
The surface has worn smooth from years of use. A simple, everyday object that shows how good utility can look when it’s made by hand and meant to last.
Likely Moroccan or Algerian.
