Vintage Pineider Nickel Chrome and Brass Letter Rack

Brushed metal with a brass edge running through it, formed into a single-slot rack that keeps things upright without overthinking it. No compartments, no sorting system — just enough structure to hold a few letters, cards or a notebook and leave it at that.
 
Made by Pineider in Florence, better known for their paper and leather goods, but this sits neatly alongside that world. The contrast between the cooler metal and the warmer brass does most of the work, and the proportions stay low and considered. Light signs of use across the surface, as you’d expect — nothing that distracts.
 
The kind of piece that keeps a desk in check without turning it into something too organised.
