Welsh Bubinga Wood Desk Sculpture
A wonderfully tactile little desk sculpture, turned from richly grained bubinga by Peter and Michael Bossom of Glyn-y-Frân Woodcraft in Pembrokeshire.
The perfectly spherical top sits freely within the shallow curve of its pedestal, allowing it to be turned, rolled and spun — an object seemingly designed as much for idle hands as for the eye.
The original maker's label remains underneath, connecting it rather nicely to the small Welsh workshop where it was made.
An object with no great need to do anything, other than being extremely satisfying to fiddle with.
